I know, I know... It's been WELL over a year (AHHH) since I've been home. Last summer was crazy busy (working endless jobs to pay off my travel debt) and ended up finding a teaching position for the 2015/16 school year. What do I teach you may ask? WORLD GEOGRAPHY!
Obviously, I've neglected my travel blog. I haven't done much traveling at all within the past year. Being home has taught me a lot about myself and what I want to do with my life. But since I'm now a teacher of world geography, I get to talk about some of my travels with my students, and they absolutely LOVE it. They ask all the interesting questions, like bathrooms and food haha. But when I get to talk to them about religion and customs and traditions, they're fascinated.
It's been a crazy and wonderful road since I've been back, but I've been able to compile a lot of my videos together from some of my travels. They aren't finished yet, but I did get to finish ONE!

I had always wanted to visit Vietnam. The history, the culture, the colors: it always made me curious. I was a smidge worried of traveling there due to me being an American and not knowing their feelings towards Americans. But I did a 17 day tour with Gecko Adventures (highly recommended!) of Vietnam and Cambodia. Even though I try to travel on my own with no itinerary, I had a very short amount of time to see both countries. The video to the right is the result of an AMAZING 17 days. | |
