Alrighty. It's official. I'm heading off to Thailand in October to teach English as a foreign language for a semester. I received the acceptance email yesterday, and I couldn't be more excited. Being accepted yesterday was on top of booking Oktoberfest in Germany. It's hard to believe that all my travel plans are actually coming true.
I must admit that the more and more that I think about it, the more excited/anxious/nervous/terrified I am. There's a lot to do and think about before I even fully commit to being accepted. I've been reading blogs about teaching in Thailand, staying updated with the coup, checking the CDC, etc. Everything that I read makes me want to go even more, and part of me is slightly afraid that my concerns are going to outweigh everything else. But, I know this is what I want, and I can't wait to get started.
